Fiat Panda Goes Electric

Fiat has unveiled the first images of its upcoming Grande Panda, set to arrive in the UK within the next year. This new model is a modern take on the classic Fiat Panda, drawing inspiration from its 1980s predecessor. The Grande Panda will be available in both hybrid and electric versions.

Unlike many of today’s vehicles, Fiat has chosen not to significantly increase the size of the new Panda. Instead of a compact city car, the Grande Panda is positioned as a B-segment SUV-style car, measuring just under 4 meters in length, making it slightly smaller than other vehicles in its category.

The design of the Grande Panda blends modern aesthetics with classic elements. The front features distinctive ‘opal cube’ headlamps, which incorporate a grid pattern used for both daytime running lights and indicators. The exterior also showcases bas-relief Panda lettering on the doors and an embossed Fiat on the rear, adding to its striking appearance.

Fiat is expected to offer the Grande Panda in a range of vibrant colours, along with a bright yellow option, continuing the brand’s preference for bold colour choices, as seen in the Fiat 500e range.

While details on performance, such as range, battery size and power, have yet to be disclosed, Fiat has confirmed that the Grande Panda will offer enough interior space to comfortably seat five passengers.
