Kaluza, an energy software company, has partnered with global automaker Stellantis to offer managed electric vehicle (EV) charging services across Stellantis’ brands, including Jeep, Opel, Fiat, Peugeot, Chrysler, and Vauxhall. The collaboration enables Stellantis EV owners to access smart charging through Kaluza’s platform, optimising charging times when energy is cheaper and greener. This system operates without requiring additional hardware, as Kaluza directly connects to the vehicles.
Kaluza has been rapidly expanding its smart charging portfolio, already working with brands like Volkswagen, Porsche, Volvo, and Mitsubishi. The company recently teamed up with OVO Energy to provide smart charging options for GivEnergy batteries, allowing customers to reduce energy costs. Similar initiatives by other UK firms, including ScottishPower and EDF Energy, also aim to make EV charging more efficient and cost-effective by using smart charging technologies.
This partnership between Kaluza and Stellantis highlights the growing focus on integrating sustainable energy solutions into the EV market, offering drivers more environmentally friendly and affordable charging options.
