Škoda Unveils The Elroq

Škoda has officially entered the all-electric compact SUV market with the launch of the Elroq, a model designed to balance efficiency, technology, and practicality. With a starting price of £31,500, it competes directly with other electric SUVs like the Renault Scenic and Kia EV3, offering a compelling option for drivers looking to switch to electric mobility.

Performance and Range

Built on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform, the Elroq is available with three battery options: 55 kWh, 63 kWh, and 82 kWh, delivering a maximum range of up to 360 miles (WLTP). Fast-charging capabilities allow the battery to recharge from 10% to 80% in as little as 24-28 minutes, depending on the variant. This makes the Elroq not only efficient for daily commuting but also suitable for longer journeys.

Cutting-Edge Technology and Features

Škoda has equipped the Elroq with a 13-inch infotainment system, LED lighting, and a range of advanced driver assistance features as standard. Higher trims add conveniences such as dual-zone climate control, predictive adaptive cruise control, and enhanced charging capabilities. The SportLine variant offers a lowered sports suspension, progressive steering, and blacked-out styling elements for a more dynamic driving experience.

For added convenience, the MyŠkoda app provides remote access to features like vehicle locking, charge monitoring, and Remote Park Assist, allowing the Elroq to manoeuvre into parking spaces autonomously. Safety is also a priority, with features such as a rear-view camera, Blind Spot Detection, and Crew Protect Assist included across the lineup.

Striking and Efficient Design

The Elroq introduces Škoda’s Modern Solid design philosophy, featuring a refined yet rugged aesthetic. A standout element is the Tech-Deck Face, a sleek reinterpretation of the traditional Škoda grille, giving the SUV a bold and contemporary look. With a drag coefficient of just 0.26, the vehicle’s aerodynamic profile enhances efficiency, reducing energy consumption while driving.

A notable addition is the exclusive Timiano Green paint option, reflecting Škoda’s commitment to providing distinctive and environmentally conscious choices for consumers.

Spacious and Sustainable Interior

Despite its compact exterior, the Elroq offers a generously sized cabin with a class-leading boot capacity of 470 litres, which expands to 1,580 litres when the rear seats are folded down. The interior emphasises sustainability, incorporating recycled materials such as ECONYL® fibres, which are made from repurposed waste like fishing nets and fabric scraps.

Practical touches include Škoda’s signature Simply Clever solutions, such as a dedicated net for storing the charging cable under the parcel shelf and multiple storage compartments providing an additional 48 litres of capacity.

A Strong Competitor in the EV Market

With a combination of long-range capabilities, smart technology, and a thoughtfully designed interior, the Škoda Elroq positions itself as a strong contender in the compact electric SUV segment. Its city-friendly size, responsive handling, and well-equipped interior make it an ideal choice for urban commuters, families, and corporate buyers alike.

Škoda’s commitment to efficiency, innovation, and practicality ensures the Elroq is well-prepared to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles, offering a sustainable and stylish alternative in the evolving EV landscape.

The Elroq comes with a 5 metre Type 2 to Type 2 cable as standard. If you require a 3 pin charger or a 10 metre Type 2 to Type 2 cable or longer, view our range of Skoda charging cables. All cables listed are compatible with the Elroq.
